I attended the Sports Injury course last night and yet again came away feeling very confident about dealing with an emergency. I have attended various courses with ABC over the last few years and I have learnt so much. Your fun approach to teaching is without a doubt the biggest reason I come to you time and time again, keeping everyone smiling while teaching such a valuble life skill is the key. Well done Mark and the team.

Thank you so much for the fantastic training you provided on Anaphalctic allergies and shock. Short, sweet and impacting. I just wanted to pass on my thanks again for the First Aid Course I attended on 4th July at the Ascot Heath Library. On Friday night my 10 month old daughter Imogen had a febrile convulsion - you'll remember we covered this in detail during the course. Typically (!) my husband was on his first lads night out since the birth of our daughter so I was on my own. I remembered what Brigit had told us, and brought her downstairs and immediately called for an ambulance, checked her airway, stripped her off, and put her down on her side. I can't believe how calm I was - it really helped actually knowing I was doing the right thing for her, and that is all down to attending the course. We were taken to the Royal Berks A&E and were then admitted overnight for observation, and everything is now ok. Of all the things I have done since being on maternity leave this course has been the most valuable - you never know when you'll need this type of training and even spending 2 hours of my Saturday has been paid back ten fold for this one incident. If possible I would really appreciate it if you could pass my thanks onto Bridget and the other Children's Centre helpers. I can't express how grateful I am.

I would like to commend the staff and particularly Keith on his fine delivery of a daunting subject to most individuals. His constant reinforcement, reassurances and sense of humour given during the course has really helped pin a most important topic. I am assured that those people who are not familiar with and personally feel they would be unconfident in a medical emergency, that he provided them with the necessary skills, aptitude and wherewithal to 'perform on the day'. Having attended many courses varying over the past 20 years I truthfully enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you.

Dear Keith, Thank you so much for giving us such a fabulous inset day today Monday 21st April. Your approach was so friendly and informative. My own father had a severe asthma attack and I had to call an ambulance for him as a teenager. Having grown up with it in the family, I could relate to all you said. It's not until you see someone experience breathing difficulty that you really appreciate the value of knowing how to deal with the situation and hopefully help that person. All your suggestions were so useful and you presented it in a way that I feel will help the information stay well lodged in the brain to call upon if it's ever needed in the future. Thanks once again - I'll think of resuscitation the next time I do the conga! All the best, Tricia Stevenson

Thank you so much for organising the first aid course with Mark. Whilst we hope we would never need to use the techniques learnt, Mark gave us the confidence to be able to recognize a bad situation and, more importantly, to be able to do something about it.
